Honolua Bay Marine Life Conservatory
After going through a short trail in the jungle (approx 1/4 mile), you will reach a great snorkeling spot in Honolua Bay.
The land is private property and you may need to gain permission to be on the property. When you hit the shore, you will see a rocky beach. The water is ideal for snorkeling and you can go just about anywhere around. Locals and more experience snorkelers will tell you that the right side of the bay is usually better for the fish viewing and spotting sea turtles.
Large swells can occur at this location, but is not usually a problem for the beach. The waves do not break inside the bay, but sometimes with rough waters, the water gets mixed up and it is tough to see through.
