Community Blessing Marks Completion of Front Street Railings and Sidewalks

A community blessing was held on July 1 to mark the completion of the Front Street Railings and Sidewalk Project, one of the final milestones before the street's planned reopening to traffic on August 1.

The Lahaina Homecoming event took place the same weekend, bringing community members together along the restored corridor. The completed work includes new railings, repaired sidewalks and seawall sections, and new tree plantings along Front Street.

These milestones are part of the county's phased reopening of the historic town corridor, coordinated through the Maui Recovers program.
